Vasu Goel

My journey in the field of Computer Science started during my undergraduate studies at IIIT Delhi, where I conducted research on cutting-edge topics in the field of NLP, Deep Learning and Graph Mining as an undergraduate researcher in Laboratory for Computational Social Sciences. My research thesis focused around primarily studying and analyzing hate speech propagation on Social Media. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to join Microsoft, where I am currently working on the exciting domain of standardized deployment across national cloud boundaries.
As a Software Engineer, I am constantly exploring new ways to innovate and push the boundaries of what is possible. My research interests include Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, Big Data, Graph Mining and Computational Social Sciences.
When I'm not immersed in the world of technology, you can find me playing basketball or pursuing my passion for music.

Software Engineer

I am working as part of the Sovereign Cloud team in India. My work primarily focuses on enabling developers across M365 to create compliant and secure release pipelines across National Cloud Boundaries. I have contributed heavily towards the tracking and telemetry of my team's infra, and by designing the governed templates for Azure Pipeline resources.

Undergraduate Student Researcher

Laboratory for Computational Social Systems (LCS2) is a research group led by Dr. Tanmoy Chakraborty and Dr. Md. Shad Akhtar at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-Delhi). Broad research interests of this group include Graph Mining, Complex Networks, Social Computing, Natural Language Processing and Data-driven Cybersecurity. I worked on my BTech Thesis which involved studying evolution of hate speech on twitter reply threads.

Software Engineering Intern

I worked towards building an onboarding library for M365 suite of applications. I worked with PX IDC under guidance of my manager Abhishek Biswas and mentor Rashid Azar. The task involved creating a design doc of the solution and presenting a POC using Typescript and React.JS using the Fluent UI library.

Co-Founder & Technology Lead

I founded a startup where we worked on building low cost digital solutions for small business impact through Covid-19 pandemic. We are currently working in domain of IoT and planning to release our own Ecommerce solution.
